The impact of selecting between different "Truck Matching Types" affects the Queue Time, Number of Trucks, and Truck Production Rate. In the following chart, there is a summary of all options available in Haul Infinity > Setup Task > Parameters.
| OverTruck | No digger wait time, but some truck queue time. |
| UnderTruck | No truck wait time, some loader hang time. |
| Round | Some truck queue time, some loader hang time (round the truck numbers to the nearest whole number) |
| Theoretical | Uses the theoretical number of trucks, allowing the fleet to have trucks with a minimum value of 1 or greater using decimal numbers. |
| TheoreticalNoMinimum | Same as the theoretical matching type, but the number of trucks can be less than 1 (whole number) |
1. Truck Matching Types in Haul Infinity
In the following example, it will be shown the effect of using "OverTruck" Vs "Theoretical" Truck Matching Type for a KOM830E truck.
1.- OverTruck (KOM830E): No digger wait time or 0% idle ratio, some truck queue time because the number of trucks is being rounded up, i.e., from 4.09 to 5 trucks.
2. "OverTruck" Truck Matching Type.
2.- Theoretical (KOM830E): Uses the theoretical number of trucks(this is a decimal number, i.e., 4.09 trucks), allowing the fleet to have trucks with a minimum value of 1 or greater.
3. "Theoretical" Truck Matching Type.
In comparing the "Overtruck" and "Theoretical" options, it's evident that the "Theoretical" option is smaller in terms of Queue Time and greater in terms of Truck Rate. With a Queue Time of 0.0 compared to 2.13 in the Overtruck option, the "Theoretical" option significantly reduces waiting times. Additionally, despite having slightly fewer trucks (0.289 versus 0.354 in the "Overtruck" option), the "Theoretical" option maintains a higher truck rate of 1,229 compared to 1,005, indicating greater efficiency in truck production. Therefore, the "Theoretical" option appears to be a more favorable choice, balancing reduced queue times and higher truck production rates for improved overall performance.
