This document aims to provide high level clarity around the different types of availability factor, where they are applied and the outputs that are provided.
The Time Usage Model(TUM) is utilised in Alastri to implement categorisation of different activities that can affect the productivity of equipment. Alastri can utilise site gathered data to create a TUM for the equipment/Plant which require it.
These site specific parameters can include the following
Available Hours- this will compromise of hours in a period (CH) with the Downtime(UPA) allocation taken out. The down time is usually provided in the form of a percentage.
CH*UPA
Engine Hours - This is a further Iteration of the above which will factor in the Use of Availability (UA) of that particular equipment from the hours it is available to work.
CH*UPA*UA
Productive hours- this can include one or both of Operating Efficiency(OE) and Productivity Factor(PF) to produce the true productive hours the equipment will be running and preforming the duties it is assigned
CH*UPA*UA*OE(and/or)*PF
