Haul Infinity detects issues in the network and displays them in the Error List below the viewport. Keep the Error List open at all times while making changes to the network
Intersecting Segments
Intersecting segments occur when two segments cross over each other within a certain distance. While this may resemble a valid vehicular intersection, trucks will not be able to travel from one segment to the other.
Create Overlapping Segments:
- Change snap mode to Triangles.
- Draw a single segment over the surface.
- Draw a second segment crossing over the first.
- Open the Error List and locate the "Intersecting Segments" error.
- Auto fix the error.

Unsnapped Points
Unsnapped points occur when two points are within a threshold distance of each other. While this may appear to be a valid network connection, trucks will not be able to transition between the segments.
Create Unsnapped Points:
- Change snap mode to Triangles.
- Draw a single segment over the surface.
- Draw a second segment parallel to the first, almost overlapping it.
- Open the Error List and locate the "Unsnapped Points" error.
- Auto fix the error.

Point Over Segment
A point over a segment occurs when a point is within a threshold distance of a segment but is not connected to it. While this may look like a valid network connection, trucks will not be able to travel between segments.
Create a Point Over a Segment:
- Change snap mode to Triangles.
- Draw a single segment over the surface.
- Draw a second segment by clicking in the center of the first segment, then extending it over the topography (creating a T-junction).
- Open the Error List and locate the "Point is 0.0 meters from a segment" error.
- Autofix the error
Points Over Segment Error
Zero-Length Segment
Zero-length segments usually occur when importing survey data or road networks that contain duplicate points.
Create a Zero-Length Segment:
- Draw a segment.
- Change snap mode to Points.
- Select the endpoint, right-click, and choose "Move Point".
- Move the endpoint to overlap with the start point, creating a zero-length segment.
- Open the Error List and locate the "Zero-Length Segment" error.
- Autofix the error.
Duplicate Segments
Duplicate segments may occur when importing survey data or road networks with duplicate strings.
Create a Duplicate Segment:
- Change snap mode to Triangles.
- Draw a single segment over the surface.
- Change snap mode to Points.
- Draw a duplicate segment directly over the first.
- Open the Error List and locate the "Two segments with identical start and end point locations" error.
- Autofix the error.
Steep Segments
Steep segments are defined as roads that exceed the truck's rimpull and braking limits or surpass the global maximum gradient set in Project Settings.
Create a Steep Segment:
- Set snap mode to Triangles.
- Set the Gradient Tool to 20%.
- Draw a ramp over the surface.
- Press OK to accept.
- Open the Error List and locate the "Steep Segment" error.
- Steep segments must be fixed manually by re-drawing the ramp or smoothing the segments.
